While the PFWA welcomes the Government’s recognition of the need to adjust its wages policy, we are adamant that much more needs to be done to address the erosion of salaries over the past five years, and the distortion of relativities between school leaders and the various employee groups working in schools. The shift in Government policy does not address the fact that workload and accountability of school leaders is completely out of balance with the salary levels afforded them, and the PFWA will continue to vigorously campaign for an Agreement that delivers salary and conditions that recognizes their importance as system leaders and rewards them accordingly.
