As you are aware the PFWA gained a commitment from the DoE via the current Agreement, to examine the issue of how protracted and unresolved parent complaints impacted on Principals, and to investigate improvements to the process.

This has resulted in a total review of the Complaints Management Framework, which is now approaching the final stages. Under Fiona Hunt’s direction a working party has consulted widely with Principals to arrive at a Framework that is easier to follow, with greater support built in to assist Principals in managing complaints. Importantly, practising Principals have been able to share their stories, as well as being involved in reference and stakeholder groups.

It is envisaged the revised Framework will be ready for implementation later in the year.
